Many AI tutors. One built for the child the others leave out.

India now has dozens of AI tutors, and the free global assistants are excellent. Almost all of them make the same assumption: a child who owns a device, has the internet, and has the initiative to open an app and ask. Enumora assumes the opposite child — and so it is built as school infrastructure, not a smarter chat window.

The empty square

Tutoring that is offline, runs on the school’s schedule, is governed by the teacher, and ends in credentials. It is empty because it is operationally hard, not technically glamorous — and that is exactly where we work.

We compare categories rather than brands. Products change monthly; the shape of each category does not. Ratings describe what products in each category typically offer.

General AI chatbots

Free study modes

Genuinely strong reasoning and writing, and now free to millions of Indian students. But they need the internet, send a child’s words to servers, know nothing about the school’s syllabus or timetable, and have no teacher in the loop. The Socratic “study mode” is a setting a child can switch off.

Enumora: on the phone, offline, on the school’s chapters, with answer-withholding enforced by the engine.

1

Exam-prep AI tutor apps

Sold to students

Fast-growing, low-cost apps for board exams and entrance tests, often with good voice and vernacular support. They serve the connected, self-motivated exam-prepper, are sold directly to families, and are built around instant doubt-solving — which can hand over the answer.

Enumora: a different buyer (the school), the full school year rather than exam cramming, and a tutor that makes the child do the thinking.

2

School content platforms

Libraries, LMS, smart class

Video libraries, practice tests and dashboards, sometimes bundled with connectivity or offered free for a year. Valuable, but content doesn’t teach: a library plays the lesson whether or not the child has understood it.

Enumora: the tutoring layer beside the child — diagnosing misconceptions, repairing them Socratically, scheduling revision. It sits alongside your platform; it doesn’t replace it.

3

Cloud AI tutors for schools

Sold to schools

The closest to us, and proof that schools, not consumers, are the right channel — and that the teacher must stay in command. But they are cloud-born, living in the connected classroom hour, often English-first and tied to one school system.

Enumora: lives offline in the child’s own evening, teaches Science and Maths in the mother tongue, ends in verifiable credentials, and is a layer any school can adopt without replacing what it runs.

What lasts

Our advantage is not the AI model. Models commoditise.

Every improvement in open, small models makes Enumora’s tutor better at no cost to us. What actually differentiates us is accumulated fieldwork — and fieldwork does not commoditise.

  • The misconception bank: the errors real children make, chapter by chapter, in their language.
  • The teacher workflow: scheduling, pulse and re-teach, designed with and for classroom teachers.
  • The credential rail: device-signed, school-endorsed proof of mastery that outlives any app.
  • Consent machinery: per-child, DPDP-grade, built into the product rather than bolted on.
  • The trust of schools, earned one honest pilot at a time.

Operating discipline

Built to be the opposite of the last edtech boom.

Indian families and schools remember pressure sales, loan-financed courses and growth bought with marketing. Each of the category’s mistakes has a rule in our company that answers it.

The category’s mistakes and Enumora’s rules
The category’s mistakeEnumora’s rule
Pressure sales and loan financing to familiesWe sell to schools. No commissioned consumer sales, ever.
Growth bought with marketing spendPilots that convert on agreed outcomes, and referrals through school networks.
Engagement minutes as the metricWe count learning occasions and mastery. A tutor should make itself less necessary.
Child data as an assetConversations never leave the device. The sync format has no field for them.
Building hardware before there is demandFamilies’ own phones for private schools. Tablets only where government tenders require them.

What we won’t overclaim

The limits, stated plainly.

Our brand has one rule about claims: label anything simulated or not yet built. So here is what Enumora is not, today.

0

Not yet at scale

The product is in build. Our founding pilot runs with two private schools in 2026–27, and we will publish what it shows.

1

Not a video generator

The phone generates dialogue, quizzes, diagrams and voice offline. Videos arrive by sync.

2

Two teaching languages first

The tutor teaches in Hindi and English at launch. Others follow only when a child can genuinely be taught in them.

3

Not a textbook

We teach the curriculum in our own words. We never republish a publisher’s textbook.

Judge us on outcomes, not on this page.

Every pilot starts with success thresholds we sign before we begin. If we don’t meet them, you owe us nothing.
