The questions schools, teachers and parents ask us.

Honest answers in one place — including the ones about what Enumora can’t do yet.

About the product

Students can already use free AI chatbots. Why would our school need this?

Chatbots serve the child who owns a device, has the internet, and opens the app to ask. Most children are not that child. Enumora arrives on the school’s schedule, teaches the school’s syllabus in the child’s own language, works without the internet, keeps the teacher in command, and ends in verifiable proof of mastery. A chat window is a library; this is a school.

Is it truly offline? Can it generate videos offline?

The teaching is truly offline: conversation, quizzes, diagrams and the tutor’s voice are generated on the phone with no connection. Video is not generated on a phone — no honest product can claim that. Lesson videos and illustrations arrive in content packs whenever the phone next meets Wi-Fi. Offline at the point of use, refreshed whenever a connection appears.

Does the tutor just give answers?

No, and it is built so it cannot. Every tutor turn is checked by the lesson engine against the topic’s key idea before the child hears it; a turn that would hand over the answer is withheld. The tutor responds to a mistake with a counter-question, raises support step by step, and only awards stars when the child can explain the mechanism in their own words.

Which classes, subjects and languages?

The founding cohort runs Classes 6–8 — Science, Mathematics, Hindi and English — aligned to NCERT/CBSE chapters, starting from a full Class 7 spine. The app itself is available in nine languages, including full right-to-left Arabic. The tutor teaches in Hindi and English first; a further language ships only when a child can be taught in it, not merely addressed.

What is a Mastery Star?

A star is awarded only for a mastery event: a quiz cleared with reasoning, a topic secured in dialogue, or a credential signed. Stars never come from time, streaks, combos or logins; revision explicitly shows ⭐ +0. Totals are capped by the syllabus, so a star always means something.

What is a verifiable credential?

When the tutor verifies that a child has mastered a topic, the phone signs a credential for it on the spot, using the learner’s own key — even offline. On the next sync the school adds its endorsement. Anyone with the credential’s share code or QR can verify it in under a second, years later, without calling the school. It uses open standards (W3C Verifiable Credentials 2.0 and Open Badges 3.0).

For schools

What does it cost?

The pilot term is free, with success criteria agreed in writing before we start. After conversion, pricing is a simple per-student annual licence — around ₹1,499 a year, about ₹125 a month per child — finalised with our founding schools. For context, families commonly pay ₹500–2,000 a month for private tuition.

What happens after the pilot?

At term-end we sit with your leadership and compare results against the thresholds agreed on day one: mastery movement, misconception clear-rate, session adherence and your teachers’ own verdict. Met: the school converts to a paid licence. Not met: we part as friends, you keep the outcomes report, and you owe us nothing.

Will it replace our teachers?

No, and it is built so it cannot. The teacher schedules the tutor, the class pulse reports to the teacher alone, and credentials can carry the teacher’s approval. Enumora gives each teacher what forty children never allowed: one-to-one attention for each of them, at her command.

We already have an LMS and smart classrooms.

Keep them. An LMS stores and plays content; Enumora is the tutoring layer — it works one-to-one with each child on what your teachers are teaching, finds and repairs misconceptions, and schedules revision. The two coexist; nothing you have invested in is replaced.

What devices does it need?

Any ordinary Android phone with Android 10 or later and at least 4 GB of RAM — most phones in the ₹10–15,000 range. Families’ own devices work, and pilot schools keep a small set of loaner phones for children who need one. Government schools buying through a tender can choose Enumora’s own tablet with the platform built in.

We are a government school. Can we join?

Our founding cohort is private schools, because they can decide quickly. Government partnerships come next, through CSR and state programmes, with our tablet and platform supplied together as tenders require. Write to us now and be first in that queue.

Is Enumora compliant with the DPDP Act?

Enumora was designed for India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act from the start: verifiable guardian consent recorded per child, minimal data, and conversations that never leave the device. Where the law permits more, we built less. Our Grievance Officer is reachable at santosh@enumora.in.

For parents

Where does my child’s data go?

Nowhere. Conversations stay on the phone by architecture — the format that syncs to school has no field for them. With your consent, the school sees your child’s mastery per topic. Without it, the phone still teaches and syncs nothing about your child.

Can I buy Enumora directly for my child?

Not today. We sell only to schools, never directly to families, and never with pressure sales or loans. If you’d like your child’s school to consider Enumora, tell us and we’ll reach out to them.

Can several children share one phone?

Yes. Each child has their own profile, opened by tapping their picture and entering a secret only they know — a 4-digit PIN or a three-picture story. Consent and data boundaries apply separately to each profile.

How do I see my child’s progress?

Through the school today — the mastery ledger and credentials are made for parent-teacher meetings — and in your child’s My Progress screen on the phone. A monthly parent report in your own language is on our roadmap.

Is it safe for children?

Nothing a child says is ever uploaded. There are no ads, no screen-time rewards and no guilt messages. If a child says something that suggests distress, the tutor stops teaching and calmly asks them to find their teacher. Children are never asked for biometrics.

About Enumora

Who is behind Enumora?

Enumora Technologies Private Limited is an Indian company incorporated in September 2026 in Greater Noida, founded by Santosh Kumar Nayak — a father who did the tuition math and asked why personal instruction should reach the children who need it least. A founding team of engineers, educators and a school success manager is forming around the pilot.

How can I see the product?

Our product walkthrough runs in a browser, offline, and shows the same learning event from every seat — student, teacher, parent, principal and network. Write to hello@enumora.in and we’ll send an access code or arrange a guided session.
